Alexander the Great

Alexander the Great (356 BC - 323 BC) was a Greek king and military leader who is considered one of the greatest conquerors in history. He was born in Pella, the capital of the ancient kingdom of Macedon, in 356 BC, and died in Babylon in 323 BC at the age of 32.

Alexander the Great was the son of King Philip II of Macedon and Queen Olympias. He was tutored by the philosopher Aristotle and showed a keen interest in literature, science, and military strategy from a young age.Alexander became king of Macedon at the age of 20 after his father was assassinated. He quickly set out to expand his kingdom, leading a series of military campaigns that resulted in the conquest of much of the known world at the time, including Greece, the Persian Empire, and parts of India.

Alexander the Great is known for his military genius and his ability to inspire and lead his soldiers. He was also a skilled diplomat and is credited with spreading Greek culture and ideas throughout the regions he conquered.Despite his many accomplishments, Alexander the Great died at a young age, and his empire was divided among his generals after his death.
